Joel “J.D.” Crosby/President of Graphics and Development - Joel Crosby was born in Inglwood California, in 1983, an “80’s baby”, where his parents Brenda and James Crosby raised him.  Throughout his childhood years Joel enjoyed playing sports and spending time with his younger brothers, J.J. and Justin. In 1992, to get away from the L.A. riots, he and his family moved to Syracuse New York where he attended private high school for the next ten years.  Joel was very involved; as he was an Honor Roll student, captain of the Varsity basketball team and spent his time volunteering with the Boys and Girls Club of Central New York.  During this time also pursued his strong passion for art and design, and became president of his schools’ art club. In 2000, Joel welcomed his first son, Jonathan Crosby.  He then moved back to the West Coast where he attended college in Long Beach California, and graduated with a degree in graphic design in 2005.  Upon graduation he worked in downtown Los Angeles for a design studio and was also an art director for an athletic apparel clothing line.  On the side he stayed busy with freelance design including, CD covers, clothing logos, business advertisements, and billboards. One day when Joel was getting a hair cut, his barber, Mike G., mentioned he knew a guy by the name of Haven that was trying to start up a clothing line.  Joel and Haven both seemed interested and agreed to meet.  They both threw ideas back and forth to each other, and the rest is history, Moral Fabrix was born. Since 2008 Joel has been living Syracuse he works with underprivileged children and co-founded C.Y.A.A. (Crosby Youth Athletic Associations) with his brother to teach kids the game of basketball and keep them off the streets.  He also continues his love for art and design through Moral Fabrix, bringing the best of both coasts into his designs.
